Surprise Art for curious people

Изкуство-изненада SURPRISE ART – INITIATION EXPERIMENT

I teach Visual Arts for more than 30 years and I am a visual artist using interactive interventions in my exhibitions for more than 15 years sensing the need for involving the audience and creating a genuine dialogue. What kind of dialogue? Intuitively, I felt the need for a dialogue on a deep emotional level related to our place in the society.

In my practice with students, I have discovered the potential of the Arts similar to the one in Prehistoric times: Art as magic, Art that transforms individuals.

As a start for beginners, I use the exercise: SURPRISE ART

It is an abstract simple random exercise with the wet on wet watercolour technique followed by a conscious reflection and simple intervention.

What am I expecting?

So far it led my students to express themselves in a unique artistic way, but at the same time they became able to sense and connect with themselves and the world surrounding them…

Audiences:

First level: Everyone who wants to experience the way Leonardo da Vinci was sensing the world and to develop it as a way of being.
Second level: I am providing guidance and feedback for the creation of short videos based on Surprise Art on iMovie

AAS Afterschool activities for Elementary students
My Studio in Iztok area (near Moskwa hotel- at the end of Borisova gradina)- on Mondays and Thursdays – from 5 to 7p.m.
Weekends on demand
Online through Zoom or Google classroom on Mondays and Thursdays (5 to 7p.m.)
